Balazs Wanyi was born in Budapest in 1943. He developed his artistic talent while studying at the Technical University of Budapest. Originally studying to be an architect he later focused his efforts on fine painting. His architectural training can be seen in his precise drawing technique.
During a lengthy stay in England, Balazs Wanyi became prominent in the London-Gallery Scene. His fine "hyperrealistic" quality seen in his still-life paintings has won him both fame and wide acclaim.
In the late Eighties, when his home country Hungaria was set free, he returned to Budapest and established himself as a successful artist, whose work is collected in many countries throughout Europe and the United States.
