Diana Reineke was born in 1933 in Nebraska. Reineke was fascinated by art at a young age and took an interest in painting and sketching. She studied at Stephens College, the University of Nebraska and the Kansas City Art Institute. She also worked and studied under renowned artist Theodore Lukits.
Throughout her career, Reineke was a fashion illustrator, a billboard designer, and she owned and operated a one-woman advertising agency in Lincoln, Nebraska. She has also worked in film and television including the Disney animated classic Beauty and the Beast. Reineke has painted on commission for the founder of Doane College in Nebraska, and J.J. Exon, the Governor and U.S. Senator of Nebraska.
Reineke's art reflects the American Impressionist style, which includes a bright color palette. She uses a wide range of color and has painted nature scenes, beach walks, and still life subjects. She worked with both oil and pastel. Reineke is a member of various art associations including the Oil Painters of America and the California Art Club.
